Port Hope Police Service

The Port Hope Police Service provides policing services to the citizens within the urban area of the Municipality of Port Hope officially known as Ward 1. We work together with the Ontario Provincial Police (Ward 2) to ensure the safety and quality of life of all who live, visit and work within the Municipality.

To assist in our task to communicate, educate and inform all members of the public, we offer this website as a portal to our services. This would be the fourth look of our website in the past 20 years.

The section you are presently viewing includes a welcome from our Chief of Police as well as our Mission and Values statement. It also offers the public a view inside our organization and our history, that it be how we exist today or how the Port Hope Police began in the late 1800's.

As well, you can view and be proud, as we are, of members of our personnel, who, every year, reach career milestones and or perform great achievements in their duties serving the citizens of Port Hope. They are recognized with presentations of awards at our annual appreciation dinner and the recipients are then honored once again on our site.
