Police Respond to Disturbance at Port Hope Residence

On March 22, 2025, Port Hope Police responded to a complaint about a tenant allegedly smoking fentanyl inside a residence. A verbal altercation followed after the tenant was informed he had to vacate the premises.

Later, police were called back after reports of an assault. Officers arrested the suspect for assault and later charged the 49-year-old Port Hope male with Failing to Comply with Probation.

The suspect was processed and released with conditions, including a court appearance on April 30, 2025.

 

Police Respond to Domestic Dispute

On March 23, 2025, at 12:44 a.m., Port Hope Police responded to multiple reports of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers located a female involved in the incident who appeared to be in distress and had consumed alcohol. Emergency medical services were called but declined by the individual.

During the investigation, officers determined there were reasonable grounds to arrest the 20-year-old female for assault. She was taken into custody, processed, and released on an Undertaking with conditions.

Port Hope Police urge residents to report any concerns related to public safety.
