Mission Statement
The municipality of Port Hope Community Policing Volunteer Committee is a community driven non-profit volunteer organization that provides leadership and support services to our local community to promoite a safe, healthy and thriving community.

Principles and Values
  • To support the ideals of the community and its residents and businesses and promote a safer and healthier environment.
  • To follow the local governances of the community
  • To involve and support the local community, and to engage in communication with our residents, businesses and Police Services to identify issues of concern, help provide ideas and solution, and contribute resources to assist in dealing with these issues as a volunteer organization.
  • To work in partnership with our community and support our volunteers to assist in these goals.

Who Are We
  • With the support of our local police The Municipality of Port Hope Community Policing Volunteer Committee was established as a non-profit volunteer organization by a small group of citizens to address safety concerns in our community.
  • Our members consist of volunteers who help provide the community and Police Services with non-crisis assistance at public venues, and to provide resources and information for community safety at various times as requested.
  • Programs which we are involved in are working with the Downtown Business Development organizations to assist with crowds during events, assisting with local events to deliver information such as Child Fingerprint Kits, Bike Safety, and general community awareness to local programs for safety.
